About Albert Payet
Primarily using oil on canvas as a preferred medium, Albert’s art works range from cityscapes of Melbourne to the rural landscapes outside the city, depicting the many natural, beautiful sceneries this part of Australia is world famous for. These include places which range from Flinders Street Station to Phillip Island and the Great Ocean Road. The scenes are deliberately chosen recognizable landmarks both of the built and natural environment. Albert prefers to approach his works with a realistic style with attention to detail, believing this gives the places he paints the best tribute it deserves. Albert is a big believer that the high detailed style is the best method to showcase the scenery with all its intricacies, detail, beauty, ugliness and ruggedness. As an Architect with a Bachelor of Architecture from RMIT University, Albert is proficient in other forms of the Fine Arts including Computer Visualization which he also enjoys doing. A broad experience of these disciplines including an understanding of the built environment enables him to have a complete understanding of the scenery he is painting, particularly the urban scenes. Other subject matters are also explored and not limited to landscapes including cars, portraits and smaller scaled objects.
