Description
Painting of Loch Ard Gorge, Port Campbell, Victoria, Australia. Oil on Linen 90cm x 60cm
Along the treacherous coast of Port Campbell, there is a place which provides an escape from the strong winds and blasting ocean spray you find amongst the Apostles and London Bridge and that place is called Loch Ard Gorge. Accessed by steps, it is here where you can descend down to its secluded beach and enjoy the calm ocean waters which finds its way through a gap between the cliffs. The time of day in this painting is late afternoon, just in time for the cliff top to capture the last light of the day, with the trickling of light also coming through the opening of the gorge, glistening the water.
