Description
The great appeal of Phillip Island is the diversity of its coastline, with the tranquility of the northern side of the island, contrasted with the rough seas smashing the coastline to the south, as seen here in this painting. This is a view of Cape Woolamai capturing those rough seas, taken from the Beacon Point Loop Walk. Take a closer look at the bottom of the cliff and you will be able to make out the caves which can be accessed in calmer weather. The cliff face is its most brilliant just after midday when the sunlight just hits the side at an angle picking up all the rugged, rocky face and red earth colours of the cliff.
